Fabrication
WEC Fabrication provides 35 years of experience in welding with TIG sets, MIG sets, 3 MMA sets and 3 GAS sets, as well as 2 submerge arc welding machines. We possess punching and guillotine equipment as well as two 3x10 tonne cranes.
Laser Flat Bed, Tube & Box Cutting
WEC Laser offers the latest in laser cutting technology including two tube laser cutters, capable of cutting tube, box and most open profiles such as angle and channel. RotoLas capability of 3m long max., 414mm diameter x 12mm thick. We also have 16 flat-bed lasers, 13 press brakes plus supporting equipment. View the full capacity list.
Precision Machining
WEC Machining, our precision engineering division, is experienced in manufacturing precision machined components, light fabrications and assemblies to customer specifications. Following substantial investment in new CNC machinery, we are able to offer multi axis sub-contract machining including vertical/horizontal CNC milling, CNC precision turning, CNC turning & casting machining.
Waterjet Cutting
WEC Waterjet was set up to offer a wide range of new cutting services and additional materials to our customers. WEC Waterjet has the capacity of Waterjet cutting any materials up to 200mm thickness with a bed size of 4 x 2m with an accuracy that matches machined tolerances of +/- 0.1mm.
Powder Coating
Our highly skilled, in-house powder coating team has many years' experience in the powder coating industry.
Heavy investments in our state-of-the-art powder coating plant, which has the capability to powder coat components up to 1.5m high x 3m long x 800mm wide and the latest automation technology, mean we are highly competitive for volume and large batch quantities.
Wet Painting
WEC Group has multiple wet painting facilities for steel and aluminium components in-house, enabling us to offer cost effective subcontract wet painting solutions.
Wet painting covers a multitude of paint finishes, and is a method of protecting and improving the visual appearance of components, structures and fabrications.
We offer nylon paint, epoxy coating, polyster coating and more for steel and aluminium components.
Large Machining
We provide large and heavy machined components to a broad range of industries including niche sectors that require specialist, high accuracy and quality parts such as Nuclear, Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Marine.
WEC Group offer an impressive heavy CNC milling capacity with the ability to undertake large batch work or individual one-off pieces or projects. Our large milling capacity includes two Correa Axia floor-type milling machines with capability of up to 11.5m x 1.5m x (2.5m + 0.45m).
Shot Blasting
At WEC Group, we provide subcontract shot blasting services.
With multiple state-of-the-art shot blasting facilities available across the Group, we have the capability to blast components up to 15m long x 6m wide x 4m high, which is ideal for large scale components.
Plasma Cutting
WEC Plasma has been set up to add value to our fabrication operations and also improve our subcontract cutting capacity for thick profiles.
Our state-of-the-art plasma cutting machine has a format cutting area of 10m x 2.5m as well as a fully rotational bevelling head, enabling us to provide a high-speed and cost effective plasma cutting service for components up to 50mm thick.
