WEC Rail Supplies OLE Structures for £100m West Midlands Electrification Project



WEC Rail has manufactured a range of Overhead Line Electrification (OLE) structures for Network Rail/ABC's £100m Walsall to Rugeley Trent Valley railway electrification project.

As part of the scheme, which runs for 15 miles, the Group fabricated a range of steel Single Track Cantilevers, Two Track Cantilevers, Portals and Anchor Portals in-house as well as four angle fabricated TTC bridges.

WEC Rail is heavily involved with rail electrification contracts and is a leading manufacturer of overhead steel poles for light rail transit systems and overhead line electrification. Recent projects include the Manchester Metrolink Light Rail project, Sheffield Tram Lines and LRT projects in Hong Kong and Istanbul.

In addition, WEC provides design, fabrication and installation services to the rail industry for products including Signal Structures, Gantries, Bridges and CCTV products.
